I’m sorry to report the person hit died. Here is the Bridgeport Police Press Release:
The Bridgeport Police Serious Crash Investigation Team was called out to investigate a pedestrian vs. motor vehicle crash that occurred on June 25 at approximately 2113 hrs in front of 202-204 Arlington St.<x-apple-data-detectors://5> Gasper Esteves, 81 of Bridgeport was outside of his parked 2003 Ford Ranger when he was struck by a vehicle described as a white SUV travelling west on Arlington St near the intersection of Madison Terrace. The striking vehicle did not stop and is actively being sought by Bridgeport Police.
 
Mr. Esteves was transported to St Vincent’s Hospital where he was listed in critical condition with multiple injuries including a skull fracture. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 0145 hrs June 26.
 
Anyone with any information regarding the crash and/or the responsible driver and vehicle is urged to call the Bridgeport Police at 203 576-TIPS (8477).

9:20pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A pedestrian was hit by a car in front of 365 Madison Terrace and the driver fled the scene.
