UPDATE: Arson Arrest–On 07-07-2016 Michael Sherwood age 51 of Stratford was arrested for Arson and assorted other charges following two (2) suspicious fires at 30 Sherwood Avenue.
During the investigation it was determined that Sherwood had started the fires at the residence because the previous residents were required to move out when the new property owners took possession. During the interview and booking process Sherwood threatened officers. Sherwood is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on 07-18- 2016.

Arson 3 rd (2cts) Criminal Trespass 3 rd (2cts) Criminal Mischief 1 st (1ct) Threatening 1 st (1ct) Refusal to be Fingerprinted (1)
2:19pm–#Stratford Connecticut– Stratford 911 received a number of calls for a back porch on fire at 30 Riverview Place (right off I-95 exit 33 Ferry Boulevard) . Police were first on scene and rescued two squatter on the second floor who may have allegedly started the fire that was quickly taken care of by firefighters. The fire marshal is on scene investigating.
