#Bridgeport Connecticut– The city, along with U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal hosted a press conference about the shooting that left 13 wounded on Plymouth Street (off Boston Avenue).  Detectives believe that there were at least two gunmen hiding in the bushes when the shooting began.  There was a large party that was denied a permit by police earlier because it was a for profit party with the sale of alcohol.  When they began shooting everyone including the DJ said it was fireworks, until they realized people were being shot.   Eleven people had non-life threatening injuries.  One woman is in critical condition and was transferred to Yale New Haven  Hospital with a gunshot to her face.  She will require reconstructive surgery and expected to survive.  A man was also shot in the face which is not life threatening.  U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal called for more gun control from congress.    Police recovered 10 shell casing and believe the other gun might have been a revolver which does not discharge a casing.  Police Chief Perez and Mayor Ganim asked anyone with information to call the confidential police hot line at 203-576-TIPS (8477).  Mayor Ganim had a bloodied nose throughout the press conference and his right arm in a sling which he said happened during a basketball game.  The full press conference can be seen here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyRc8CnwWUo
