#Norwalk Connecticut–On May 11, 2016 at 9:30 pm, the Norwalk Department of Police Service investigated a hit and run accident on Van Buren Avenue near the intersection of Bedford Avenue. Two pedestrians were struck by a gray BMW, which was last seen fleeing south on Van Buren Avenue. The BMW is believed to have sustained front and right side damage to include a missing right side mirror, which remained at the scene. Both pedestrians, a male and female were transported to the Norwalk Hospital. The female victim, Jaime Lane later succumb to her injuries.

The State of Connecticut has now offered a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the death of Jaime Lane. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Officer Wasilewski at 203-854-3035 or cwasilewski@norwalkct.org.
