#Stratford Connecticut–On the evening of November 14, 2016 Rodney Johnson Junior age 20 was arrested in Stamford for the shooting which occurred in Stratford on Friday, November 11 th . Johnson was arrested at his father’s residence after Stratford Detectives tracked him to the address. The arrest was made with the assistance of Stamford Officers from the Stamford Police Department.

During the arrest officers recovered a .380 caliber handgun and an electronic defense weapon. The handgun was reported stolen approximately two years ago in Trumbull. Johnson was charged with the below listed crimes and held on a $500,000 dollar bond for his involvement in the shooting. He will be arraigned today in Bridgeport court and was assigned a court date on 11/22/16.

 

Assault in the First Degree 53a-59        Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm 53a-203        Criminal Possession of a Firearm 53a-217

Criminal Possession of Ammunition 53a-217             Carrying a Pistol without a Permit 29-35            Risk of Injury to a Minor 53-21 (Two Counts)

 

Johnson was also charged with the below crimes for possession of the stolen firearm of Trumbull. He was issued a $5,000 dollar bond and assigned a court date on 11/22/16.   Larceny in the Sixth Degree by Possession 53a-125b   Illegal Transfer of a Firearm 29-33
