Bridgeport News: Stolen Car Hits Officer

7:07pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A man went in to the package store at 1818 Barnum Avenue and left the car running with the keys in it.  When he returned the car was gone.  Police located the tan Nissan mainly because it was driving erratically on Boston Avenue and went after it.  The car went down Boston Avenue toward Chopsey Hill Road, down Exeter and onto Up Street then turned on Broadway.  A lieutenant responding to the call was hit head on by the driver.  It appears the driver allegedly turned into the officer as stolen car was on the wrong side of the road.  The suspect was quickly apprehended.  The injured lieutenant was transported St. Vincent's Hospital.  Firefighters were called for the…

Norwalk News: Pursuit Update

#Norwalk Connecticut--On January 26, 2017, the Special Services Division was serving multiple arrest warrants on a subject wanted for the sale of narcotics. The subject was spotted in the area of Colonial Village and fled as officers attempted to arrest him. Special Services Officers captured the individual a short time later. The preliminary investigation indicates that an officer heard the radio call of a foot pursuit and responded to the vicinity of West Cedar Street and Scribner Avenue to assist. The officer then attempted to stop a vehicle. However, the vehicle failed to yield, continuing north on Scribner Avenue in a reckless manner. Stratford News: Animal Cruelty

#Stratford Connecticut-- Catherine and Fletcher Graham both age60 were arrested for animal cruelty charges on January 20, 2017. The arrest comes after a month’s long investigation into allegations of numerous neglected cats at the Graham residence located in Stratford. In total 34 cats were seized from the residence, all of which were in some state of neglect. Stratford Animal Control Officers completed the investigation and cited the Grahams with 34 counts each of Animal Cruelty. They are scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on February 1, 2017. 2017 Westport Youth Citizens’ Police Academy

#Westport Connecticut-- The Westport Police Department is proud to announce that we will be offering a Citizens’ Police Academy for Westport teens beginning on March 1, 2017. Participants will establish a better understanding of the role of the police department in the community and laws effecting teens. The academy can accommodate up to twenty-four Westport high school students who will participate in classes designed to take them through the various aspects of law enforcement. Academy instructors consist of highly trained and experienced Westport Police Officers. In addition to the classes, participants will have the opportunity to experience a “ride-a- long” with an officer from the patrol division. Bridgeport News: Suspect Flees, Runs Out Of His Sneaker

11:45pm--UPDATE: Police have the suspect in custody. The car was stolen out of Stratford. 11:00pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A man took off on police in a car on Center Street but then fled the car towards Greene Homes.  He lost one sneaker in the chase.  Manhunt behidn Greene Homes.  K-9 is on the track and that usually doesn't end well for the suspects.
