Bridgeport Police Update:   Paulo Lumfuakiadi 26 of Wheeler Avenue Bridgeport was driving a gray 2009 BMW 328I south on North Washington Avenue when he crashed into UI pole 4437 in front of the EOC. (581 No. Washington). He is in the recovery room of Saint Vincents Hospital listed in stable condition. He has a broken left leg and broken ankle.

Rear passenger, Tiana Verner 30 Pembroke Street Bridgeport was ejected from the vehicle.  She was admitted to Saint Vincents room Verner has a pelvic fracture and a fractured left femur.

Other passengers: Tiana McClain 29 of Harral Ave Bridgeport. Released from the hospital.

Alcohol and speed played a factor in this one car collision.

The collision was dispatched to patrol officer Juan Villafane under the direction of Lieutenant John Gale.

The Traffic Division will be handling the investigation

12:39pm–#Bridgeport CT–Firefighters worked feverishly to free trapped in BMW that hit a utility pole at on Lindley Street between Winton and Herbert Streets. According to radio reports a third person was trapped under the car. No word on the extent of the injuries.
