9:27pm–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters were called to a dumpster fire at the Black Rock Print Shop at 3442 Fairfield Avenue in the Black Rock section of town. When firefighters arrived they found the dumpster was close to the building and the fire had extended to the building. Firefighters immediately called for more personnel and equipment. The fire had extended into the ceiling making access difficult.

Multiple witness told me they heard fireworks just before the fire. The fire marshal was called to investigate. A family that lived in an apartment above the print shop safely escaped and will more than likely need the Red Cross to assist them in overnight housing.

Within the hour the firefighters had the fire out. There were no reported injuries.
