Bridgeport Police UPDATE: Two Bridgeport School Crossing Guards were struck while working in the intersection of North Ave/Park Ave at approximately 8:12 am on Sept 12, 2017. Motorist, Larissa B. Fountain of Madison Avenue Bridgeport was operating her 2007 Nissan Sentra travelling east on North Avenue when she crossed the intersection of Park Avenue and mounted the curb striking two crossing guards on duty. The two guards were standing on the sidewalk when they were struck by the Nissan. Which then skidded about forty feet before coming to a final resting position at the North Ave entrance/exit to People's Bank. Military Cadets Commemorate 9/11 Anniversary
#Bridgeport, CT – As the nation and world commemorated the 16th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, The Bridgeport Military Academy joined organizations and individuals across the country to remember and honor the thousands of innocent men, women, and children killed in the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001. The event was planned by cadets of the Civil Air Patrol program from the Stratford Eagles Composite Squadron.
