Bridgeport News: Two School Crossing Guards Hit By Car

Bridgeport Police UPDATE:  Two Bridgeport School Crossing Guards were struck while working in the intersection of North Ave/Park Ave at approximately 8:12 am on Sept 12, 2017.  Motorist, Larissa B. Fountain of Madison Avenue Bridgeport was operating her 2007 Nissan Sentra travelling east on North Avenue when she crossed the intersection of Park Avenue and mounted the curb striking two crossing guards on duty.  The two guards were standing on the sidewalk when they were struck by the Nissan. Military Cadets Commemorate 9/11 Anniversary

#Bridgeport, CT – As the nation and world commemorated the 16th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, The Bridgeport Military Academy joined organizations and individuals across the country to remember and honor the thousands of innocent men, women, and children killed in the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001.   The event was planned by cadets of the Civil Air Patrol program from the Stratford Eagles Composite Squadron.  There was a ceremony held during morning formation at BMA where the names of those who perished in the attacks on 9/11, from the State of Connecticut, were read aloud.
