On December 20, 2017 members of the Norwalk Police Department Special Services Division assisted members of the Stamford Police Department Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit (NOC) with the execution of search and seizure warrants within the City of Norwalk. Stamford PD NOC had conducted a narcotics sales investigation into Ortero. Because of the investigation, search warrants for Matthew Ortero and his residence at 245 West Rocks Road were issued. Investigators executed the warrants on Ortero and the residence. Investigators located and seized the following:

1.165 pounds of marijuana
2.6 ounces marijuana wax
29.83g cocaine
148 Xanax prescription pills
$6,695

Arrested: Matthew Ortero, 28 of 245 West Rocks Road Norwalk
Charges: Possession of Controlled Substance (4 Counts), Poss. With Intent to Sell
Narcotics (2 Counts), Poss. With Intent to Sell Marijuana, Failure to Keep Narcotics in
Original Container and Operating a Drug Factory
Bond: $250,000
