Police UPDATE:

A ShotSpotter Activation came into the Bridgeport Emergency Communications  at approximately 11:19pm  in the vicinity of the 1000th block of East Main St. Once Bridgeport Police arrived at the scene they notice a trail of blood that leads to a local business. It was determined the victim came into the store after being shot and was transported to the hospital by the store owner. At the same time, the police wast alerted by Bridgeport  Hospital that a gunshot victim had arrived at their location with multiple wounds, one being to the side of the head. BPD secured a crime scene and were also sent to the hospital to continue their investigation where the party was in stable condition. At this time, this remains an active investigation.

2020-02-22@11:20pm–#Bridgeport CT– A person has shown up at Bridgeport Hospital by a private vehicle and he was shot multiple times.  Police received a shotspotter notification of multiple shots fired at 1070 East Main Street and have found a blood trail.  A crime scene has been set up and you can expect delays in the area.
