Fire Department UPDATE:

At approx. 1:47 PM, The Stratford Fire Dept. was dispatched to 45 Mill Pond Circle
for a reported structure fire with one person trapped inside the garage. Engine 1, 2,
3, 4, Tac5, Truck 1 responded with a total of 22 Firefighters, One shift Commander,
and Safety Officer. On arrival, heavy fire was visible inside the garage extending up
the exterior of the structure. The fire was under control in less than 15 minutes. One
male suffered substantial burn injuries and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital
by Stratford EMS.
The structure is not habitable at this time. The American Red Cross responded and
provided assistance to the family. Six individuals and two dogs were displaced.
The Origin and Cause of this Fire is under investigation by The Stratford Fire
Marshal’s Office with assistance from Stratford Police Detective Bureau and CT
State Police Fire and Explosion Investigative Unit.
