Police UPDATE: On January 19, 2022 at approximately 8:00 pm the Bridgeport Emergency Operation Center received reports of shots fired in the 200 block of Grandview Avenue.

Police located a crime scene in the parking lot of the North End Variety Store (1482 Reservoir Avenue) as reports came in through dispatch of two gunshot wound victims arriving at St. Vincent’s Hospital.

The two gunshot victims have been identified as two neighborhood men; ages 28 and 56. The 56 year old is listed in critical condition and the 28 year old is being treated for non-life-threating injuries. The Bridgeport Police Detective Bureau has responded and are investigating.

The crime scene was processed and eventually cleared around 11:00 pm. Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to contact the case officer, Detective Michael Cantrell, at 203-581-5240 or utilize the Bridgeport Police Tips Line at 203-576-TIPS.
