Bridgeport News: Man Shot
Police UPDATE–On April 10, 2024, at approximately 6:55 pm Bridgeport Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation and citizen reports of a victim shot within the 1200 block of Park Avenue.

Patrol officers responded to that area and quickly located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to an area hospital via AMR ambulance where he is listed in critical condition.

The Detective Bureau has responded and taken charge of the criminal investigation. A large crime scene has been secured on Park Avenue between Laurel Avenue and Wood Avenue. Multiple items of evidence have been observed at the scene. Those items, and more, will be collected and processed by the Police Department’s Forensic Identification Unit.

Detectives are currently canvassing the area, identifying witnesses, and documenting their investigation. The Bridgeport Police Department is asking for your help in solving this crime. 2024-04-10@6:55pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police said they have two in custody after a shooting in the 1200 block of Park Avenue. Witnesses told me they heard 6-7 shots. Unconfirmed reports say the man was shot in the head.
