Update from FFD PD:
At about 11:30 a.m. today, Fairfield Police responded to an isolated incident on Putting Green Road involving a stabbing.

Patrol officers arrived within minutes, detained the individual responsible, and immediately rendered aid to the injured person. The victim is currently in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

The two males involved were known to each other, lived together, and this was an isolated incident. While there was no threat to the public, North Stratfield School was briefly placed in secure status as a precaution until officers confirmed that the individual responsible was in custody.

Darren Palumbo, age 56, of Fairfield will be charged in connection with this incident. The investigation remains ongoing and is being handled by Fairfield Police Detectives.

A man was stabbed in the chest and face on Putting Green Road in Fairfield, where he was transported to a local hospital. The suspect is in custody at this time according to unconfirmed radio reports.
