MAN BROUGHT TO BRIDGEPORT HOSPITAL WITH MULTIPLE GUNSHOT WOUNDS EARLY SATURDAY NIGHT
A man believed to be in his early fifties and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds was brought to Bridgeport Hospital early on Saturday night by a private vehicle. He underwent emergency surgery almost immediately after his arrival and at last check was in critical condition.
The victim has been tentatively identified. However, detectives were working to confirm his name and notify his family before releasing it to the public.
The shooting is believed to have occurred in the area of lower East Main Street at approximately 7:15 p.m.
