The Stratford Health Department has announced its 2026 flu clinic schedule, with three clinics planned in October at the Baldwin Center and Birdseye Municipal Complex. The clinics will serve older adults, children, Board of Education staff, and the general public.
The first clinic will be held Wednesday, October 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during the Art of Aging Healthy Living Expo at the Baldwin Center Studio, 1000 West Broad Street. The Health Department will partner with Beacon Pharmacy, which will provide COVID-19 and pneumonia vaccines and administer flu vaccines to individuals with UnitedHealthcare. The Stratford Health Department accepts Aetna, Aetna Medical Advantage, Anthem BCBS, Anthem BCBS Medicare Advantage, Cigna, ConnectiCare, Medicare, Medicaid/HUSKY and Oxford Health, but UnitedHealthcare does not recognize the department as a provider.
On Thursday, October 22, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., the department will host a Spider-Man-themed flu clinic for children and Board of Education staff at the Birdseye Municipal Complex, 468 Birdseye Street, Room 110. The clinic is designed to offer children a fun, child-friendly vaccination experience. Walk-ins are welcome but may experience a wait.
A public flu clinic will follow on Thursday, October 29, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Birdseye Municipal Complex, 468 Birdseye Street.
