On September 18, 2026, at approximately 1100 hours, the Stratford Police Department’s Narcotic, Vice and Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at the Infinity Smoke Shop. The Infinity smoke shop is located at 1277 West Broad Street. The NVI Unit was assisted by agents from the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. The Stratford Health Department has announced its 2026 flu clinic schedule, with three clinics planned in October at the Baldwin Center and Birdseye Municipal Complex. The clinics will serve older adults, children, Board of Education staff, and the general public. The first clinic will be held Wednesday, October 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during the Art of Aging Healthy Living Expo at the Baldwin Center Studio, 1000 West Broad Street. Missing Fisherman Located Following Penfield Reef Incident

On June 20, 2026, during the morning hours, the body of 34-year-old Kwahiwi Edwards of Queens, New York, was located on a beach near Shoreline Drive in Stratford. Mr. Edwards had been reported missing on June 13, 2026, after he and another fisherman became stranded on the reef at Penfield Beach as the incoming tide rapidly surrounded them. A witness entered the water in an attempt to assist the fishermen but was also swept into deeper water. Responding Fairfield Police officers successfully rescued the witness and the second fisherman; however, Mr. Edwards could not be located. On May 26, 2026, at approximately 4:19 pm, the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received several calls for a collision involving a motor vehicle and a motorized scooter. The collision occurred at the intersection of North Avenue and Thompson Street. Bridgeport Police, Bridgeport Firefighters, and American Medical Response were dispatched to the location. Officers arrived on scene and observed Bridgeport Firefighters rendering medical aid to the operator of the motorized scooter. Former Stratford High Wrestling Coach Arrested in Sexual Assault Investigation

Jordan Miron Arrest Warrant Execution On May 12, 2026, a now 20-year-old female reported to the Stratford Police Department that she was the victim of sexual assault when she was a student while attending Stratford High School. A Detective Bureau investigation conducted over the last six days resulted with the arrest today of a former Stratford High School wrestling coach. Jordan Miron, age 36, is charged with Sexual Assault 2nd degree (actor is a coach). He was issued a May 19, 2026 court date and is being held in lieu of a $150,000.00 court set bond.
