7:50pm–#Fairfield CT–Police were called to Jennings Road and Prince Street for shots fired.  According to police a man was walking dogs when he said he was attacked by a stray dog.  He fired a shot hitting the dog in the rear quarter.  The dog then ran to Prince Street where police located him.  Animal Control rushed the dog to Norwalk Animal Hospital for surgery for non life threatening gunshot.  The man was taken into custody and a .380 Colt handgun was recovered.  I do not know if the man will be charged.
