Around 2pm Monday motorists on Fairfield Woods Road near the library were surprised when a cow and a bull were seen running in the road and in backyards.  Police 911 received over a half dozen calls.   Bovine owner Wyatt Whiteman told us that he was on his way to the feed store for more feed when the cow and bull broke loose.  They saw all the green around them and the appeal of fresh vegetation proved too much for them so the broke loose for some self service eats.  “Joey” is a one year old bull that is still a little on the  mischievous side, while his mother is three years old and can be called by shaking a pail of feed.  Police kept the bovine in check until Animal Control arrived.  They worked with the owners to get them back in their pen.   The farm known as 1760 Farmhouse is located on Stillson Road near the corner of Fairfield Woods.  It is a working farm that sells farm fresh eggs, chickens and rabbits.  The can also be hired for horse rides for children’s parties.
