Two Roads Brewery Donates to Stratford Library in April

The Two Roads Brewing Company of Stratford will be celebrating “National Poetry Month” in April by honoring poet Robert Frost and the Stratford Library. The poet is the author of “The Road Not Taken” and the inspiration behind the brewing company’s name. The company is currently donating $1 to the Stratford Library for every pint poured on Tuesdays during April. Since 2012, the Brewery has donated over $8,000 to the Library from the fundraiser (there were no fundraisers held during pandemic years). The money was used for books as well as music, film and lecture programs. The Two Roads Brewing Company is located on 1700 Stratford Avenue in Stratford, Connecticut.

Westport, CT –Director of Human Services Elaine Daignault has announced that the Town is now accepting applications for the 2024 Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) Tax Credit Program sponsored by the CT Dept. of Revenue Services (DRS). The deadline for submissions to the Town's Human Services Department is Friday, May 17, 2024. The NAA program is designed to fund municipal and tax-exempt organizations by providing a corporation business tax credit for businesses that contribute cash to these entities. Norwalk News: Gun and Narcotics Arrest

A Norwalk man was arrested on gun and narcotics charges while driving around with an unsecured baby on his lap. On March 31, 2024 at 11:49 AM a patrol officer observed a man driving around with a baby on his lap. The officer pulled the car over and did not see an infant car seat anywhere in the car. Carjacking Incident

On March 28, 2024 at 5:02 AM Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a carjacking that occurred on Westport Avenue. During the incident, two suspects stole a BMW X3 from the owner at gunpoint. The suspects fled and attempted another carjacking at the intersection of Dry Hill Road and Westport Avenue. The driver was able to maneuver the vehicle past the suspect vehicle and flee. The carjacked vehicle was recovered by Patrol Division Officers in Norwalk earlier today.
