DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

#Fairfield Connecticut-- Every time I get on I-95 I pass by Frank Loves Junk on Commerce Drive at 27a Haley Court in Fairfield.  I finally stopped by to see what he was all about.  Very neat place to visit I must say.  It is kind of like American Pickers in Connecticut but you can also find some modern things in the mix.  I picked up some Wolfgang Puck knives while my wife got some China dishes from France.  Like Frank said what you would expect to find in a home like furniture, chairs, lamps, dishes and toys.  I even got a Bobby Labonte NASCAR action figure with Bobby in the Interstate uniform! Westport Man Charged

#Westport Connecticut--On 06/12/16 at approximately 11:30pm, Ronald Bansak and the victim of this incident had an argument. During the argument, Bansak threw the victim to the ground and grinded her face into the ground. Bansak also held the victim down and refused to let her up. #WINDSOR LOCKS, CT – With the summer travel season kicking into high gear over the next several weeks, Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, and other state officials today announced that a Zika education and warning campaign will soon be underway at Bradley International Airport.   The campaign, a joint effort between the state Department of Public Health (DPH), Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA), federal Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and JetBlue, will focus on passengers traveling to and from San Juan, Puerto Rico on JetBlue’s two daily flights, but will also be seen by other travelers who may be connecting through other airports on their way to areas in the Caribbean, or Central/South America currently affected by Zika virus.  …
