DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Westport News: Domestic Disturbance Arrests

#Westport CT--At approximately 4:32am on December 12th, 2015, Westport Officers responded to a reported physical domestic disturbance at a local residence. Connecticut State Police Graduation

December 17, 2015 – The Connecticut State Police today graduated 58 new State Troopers, all members of the 125th Training Troop. Colonel Brian Meraviglia, Commander of the State Police, congratulated the graduating class during a ceremony at Jorgensen Auditorium at the University of Connecticut. Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman addressed The 125th training troop entered the Connecticut State Police Training Academy on June 15, 2015, and spent approximately 1,400 hours in the classroom. They spent many more hours training in physical conditioning, water rescue, driving and other specialized areas of police work. The 58 members of this class began the process of becoming State Troopers more than a year ago.
