Today at approximately 11:00am, Westport Police received a 911 call from employees of Chase Bank, 184 Main Street, reporting a robbery. Responding Officers determined that a middle aged white male entered bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. The suspect indicated he had a weapon, but did not display one. An undetermined amount of money was taken and the suspect left on foot south on Main Street. 10:00am--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- Firefighters are at a structure fire at 351 Clinton Avenue, a multi family home. Radio reports say two occupants were transported to the hospital with smoke inhalation.
Video: 2 Cats Rescued In Stratford House Fire
Around 10:45 Wednesday night, firefighters were called to the area of Stratford and Main Street to investigate smoke in the area A short time later firefighters discovered a house fire in the 1600 block of Elms Street. Firefighters found heavy fire on the second floor and attic. No one was home at the time of the blaze. Firefighters rescued two cats and EMS provided oxygen to help revive them. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Bridgeport News: Crash Closes Connecticut Avenue
#Bridgeport Connecticut--Police are investigating this two car crash that had Connecticut Avenue closed just after 12 noon Wednesday. Witnesses told me that this black car had ran the stop sign on 4th Street hitting the silver/gray car. A motorcycle that was just behind the sliver/gray car miraculously avoided being hit by the cars or any debris flying off the cars as he drove through the scene. The silver/gray car hit a tree and light pole on the sidewalk before coming to a stop. I'm told the two drivers were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, the motorcyclist was not hurt.
