His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Fairfield News: Hazardous Waste Collection Tomorrow

First Selectman Mike Tetreau announced today that the Town of Fairfield is holding its annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday August 29, 2015 at Veterans Park on Reef Road from 9 am to 2 pm. Please visit the Town’s Hazardous Waste Collection web page, http://www.fairfieldct.org/hazwaste, for a list of acceptable (and unacceptable) materials. Since May 1990, the towns and cities which are members of HazWaste Central have disposed of and recycled more than 1,000,000 gallons of hazardous waste. Stratford News: Weapons Arrest

On 08-21-2015 Justin McCabe age 31 of Stratford was arrested at his home by patrol officers for several charges after responding to a report of shots fired. McCabe who lives at 135 Lincoln Street was reportedly intoxicated when he fired several rounds into the ground in the back yard of his residence. McCabe initially lied to officers as to his involvement but investigation and statements by witnesses helped prove otherwise. McCabe was taken into custody after a brief struggle. A total of three handguns were seized as evidence. McCabe was charged with: Unlawful Discharge Of A Firearm, Possession Of A Loaded Firearm While Intoxicated, Interfering With An Officer, Breach Of Peace 2nd and Reckless Endangerment. Governor’s Plans To End Veteran’s Homelessness

(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, veterans, veterans' advocates and local, state and federal officials, today laid out several of his proposals aimed at combatting veterans' homelessness and unemployment in Connecticut. Bridgeport News: Barnum School Evacuated For Electrical Fire

#Bridgeport CT--Barnum School started off with a flash dance in the morning a flash electrical fire by the morning.  The school was evacuated, I'm sure most thought it was the first fire drill of the year but it was the real deal.   Firefighters were quick on the scene and located a smoke condition on the second floor.  The found the source to be a defective/melted electrical outlet. My initial report was: 1:00pm--#UPDATE: Initial radio reports say a faulty electrical circuit on the 2nd floor. 12:50pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters on scene of Barnum School at 450 Waterview Avenue for a odor of smoke inside the school.

Do you Know This Bank Robber?

#Stratford CT---On 08-25-2015 the TD Bank located on Stratford Avenue in Stratford was robbed by an unknown male.  The robbery occurred at 1050 in the morning.  No weapon was displayed.  The suspect is described as a black male, thin build wearing a blue T-shirt, tan pants a backpack and camouflage hat.  Approximately $580 was taken.  There is a $1000 dollar reward being offered for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect.  Anyone with information please contact Detective Jennifer Murolo at 203-385-4127.
