Wednesday, the firefighters and police in Fairfield were put to the test with four major calls that required their know how. We asked them to see and endure somethings no one should have to see. Through it all the professionals at the police and fire departments made their town proud, very proud. But we as a town we have not returned the favor for their valor. Both departments have been working without a contract. I'd like to say the town of Fairfield have proven that they are anti-union. But that isn't necessarily the case.
