His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Milford News: House Fire

2:29pm--#Milford CT--Firefighters are on  the scene of house fire at the corner of Underhill Road and Greenfield Road.  All occupants have gotten out of the house safely.  at 2:55 firefighters had most of the fire knocked down and are now chasing hot spots.  No reported injuries at this time.  Stratford was providing mutual aid to Milford's empty fire houses.   [caption id="attachment_32428" align="aligncenter" width="974"] Photo courtsey of Milford Fire Department[/caption] Los bomberos están en la escena del incendio de la casa en la esquina de Underhill Road y Greenfield carretera. I felt like I was sent back in time when I visited the Famous Fifties Diner at 472 Huntington Turnpike in Bridgeport.  I met with Kathryn Sanchez who opened the diner in April with her husband.  The first thing you notice is the Coca Cola red and white color theme and all the 50's memorabilia on the walls.  I wanted to point out that there was something wrong with the flat screen above the counter seating but then it dawned on me they intentionally wanted it to display in black and white! Bridgeport News: Man Inappropriately Touches 5 Year Old

11:00pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police were dispatched to the White Eagle Club at 595 East Washington Avenue for an older man who inappropriately touched a 5 year old.  He is currently being held by security.   EMS was dispatched to the club for an assault, no word if it was for the victim or the suspect. UPDATE:   I believe EMS was dispatched for both the victim who was a girl and the suspect. The girl's parents refused medical assistance and another person was transported to the hospital. 8:44pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police on patrol stopped citizens on scene at Wood and Linwood Avenue where a woman thrown from a 2002 Dodge Caravan heading towards North Avenue.  The woman is unconscious lying next to a tree.  UPDATE: An alert police officer spotted a vehicle matching the description and has the responsible person in custody near Iranistan Avenue.
