DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Bridgeport Detectives Investigate Gunfire at Boston and Central Avenues

@Bridgeport, CT -- Nov. 27, 2014 -- Detectives are investigating gunshots  that occurred  at Boston and Central avenues this morning. The gunfire prompted officials to suspend the Hardling/Central High School football game, which was being played nearby. The shooting happened at about 11:15 a.m. It appears that no one was injured.  At the scene, police located shell casings but no victim was found. Bridgeport News: 2nd Laundromat Armed Robbery

9:11pm--#Bridgeport CT--The laundromat at 1480 Fairfield Avenue was robbed at gunpoint.  Police are looking for a black male who had a scarf over his face, black hoodie and a green bag that he put the money in.  He also was carrying either red or orange umbrella.  There was an attempted armed robbery at the laundromat on North Avenue  but the robber did not get any money in that incident.
