7:33pm--#Bridgeport CT--The Pioneira Brazilian Steak House at 60 Hurd Street calling police on the attempted UI Scam. They did NOT fall for the scam to wire money to pay the bill. UI will not ask you to wire them money ever. Police are investigating.
#Bridgeport CT--Police have been busy documenting several incidents today regarding relatives being held hostage for ransom. So far no one has paid out any money. Scammers have been busy working the phones today. Please pass this on to family members who might be vulnerable to this scam.
3:39pm--#Bridgeport CT--A thirteen year old child attempted to jump from a window at Tisdale School on Hollister Avenue and then fled. School Resource Police have just apprehended the child and seeking medical attention for the child.
3:50pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters are on scene at 331 Griffin Avenue for smoke in the basement. They are investigating and found an overheated electrical motor on the furnace. If it were really bad the could have called our friends at ServPro that would make it like it never even happened!
1:11pm--#Bridgeport CT--A two year old child has been struck by a car at the corner of Main and Summit Street. First responders are on the way.
1:22am--#Bridgeport CT--If you park on the road on Gurdon Street you may want to check your car, several parked cars were hit. The responsible driver remained on the scene.
9:00pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police are Grand Streetanother street robbery, this time in the 500 block of Grand Street. The Hollow area of the city has seen a jump in street robberies in the last week.
7:42pm--#Shelton CT--Security at 2 Corporate Drive is reporting a heavy smoke on the 5th floor. Firefighters on the way. Building is being evacuated.
7:22pm--#Milford CT--Firefighters are on scene at 144 Juniper Drive for a building with high levels of carbon monoxide 20 parts per million of a garage and hydrogen cyanide in the basement. Firefighters are in the process of ventilating the building. UPDATE--Sad to report that Ralph Mastrianna, 55 passed away in this incident. He was apparently working on his motorcycle according to his son.
6:12pm--#Shelton CT--A two car crash with a major gasoline leak from one of the vehicles at Howe Avenue and White Street. According to reports from first responders Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to be notified because the rain is pushing the gasoline down the storm drain.
