DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

A good portion of the daylight Sunday I'll be busy with covering the president's trip to Bridgeport's Central High School.  DoingItLocal.com is political free and this isn't really breaking news so why would I be covering it?  It is after all a political rally endorsement to reelect Governor Malloy. Limited neighborhood street parking is available around Central High School, but posted restrictions will apply. Parking is available at Sacred Heart University (5151 Park Ave., Fairfield, CT 06825). Once on campus, make the first right and follow the road all the way down until you see a large parking lot ahead of you. Free shuttles will run between this lot and the event site beginning at 12 noon. Limited onsite parking for guests with disabilities is available at Central High School and can be accessed from the intersection of Madison Avenue and Beers St. Carpooling is highly recommended!
