DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Fairfield Plays Hollywood is Back at the Fairfield Public Library [Fairfield, Conn, October 3, 2014] Les Srager is back at the Fairfield Public Library to again host his very popular Sunday film series. The films will be shown on Sunday, October 19, November 9 and December 7 at 2:00 pm in the Rotary Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post In 2002, Les Srager created the Fairfield Plays Hollywood film series at the Fairfield Public Library where he introduced films and led a discussion following each showing. Bridgeport Police Seek Help Identifying Metro PCS Robbers

Monroe News: House Fire

2:44am--#Monroe CT--Firefighters are on scene of a house fire at 11 Fox Run.  Firefighters reporting on scene are reporting the house engulfed in flames.  It is in an area with hydrants.  UPDATE: 3:26am--Firefighters reporting the bulk of the fire has been knocked down.  Trumbull and Shelton have been providing mutual aid to cover the empty fire stations in Monroe as they fought this blaze.  No injuries have been reported.
