DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Bridgeport Police Locate Man With Alzheimer’s Roaming

4:51pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Bridgeport Police were contacted this afternoon that an elderly man suffering from Alzheimer's Disease left his home at Greene Homes on Highland Avenue.   The bus stations were alerted. Police on patrol located the man walking on Route 8/25 near exit 4.  The family was immediately notified. Stratford News: Boat Taking On Water

3:08pm--#Stratford CT--There is a boat about a half mile out in the mouth of the Housatonic River taking on water.  There are 6 people on board.  The have one pump working and one down.  Clamboats in the area are attempting to rescue.  Stratford, Milford and Coast Guard on the way.  UPDATE: It is a clamboat that is taking on water and another clamboat is attempting to assist.
