DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Police Investigate Commercial Robberies

#Bridgeport, CT – Nov. 18. 2013 – Police are investigating two commercial robberies that happenedSunday. The first happened at Koshta Convenience Store at 1489 Stratford Ave. just after 5 p.m.The victim told Officer Lori Nieves that he was in the kitchen area of the store when three males entered the area behind the counter by kicking in the door. Two of the men detained the victim while the third emptied the cash register. The men fled when another employee, who was in the bathroom, began banging on the door. The males escaped with cash and a pack of vanilla-flavored cigars. Detectives James Borrico and Chris Borona responded to investigate. Very early Sunday morning a shooting occurred in Bridgeport just before 3am, "man shot to the head" came across the EMS scanner.  Out the door I went to bring you and the rest of the media the news.  As I mentioned in an earlier article 3am is my bed time. I was back by 3:30am and now I had to edit the video, get photo frame grabs, upload the video and write the article.  3:30am is late even for me!  If anyone has ever edited by computer, your computer screen is not full size, it has the timeline, preview and program screen and lots of tools (see the photo).
