12:02am--#Bridgeport CT--A man was shot outside 25 Sixth Street just after midnight Friday morning. Police were looking for two black males and Hispanic teen, all three dressed in blue jeans and hoodies in their early teens. Police locate three youths matching that description near Central Avenue and have detained him. Its not know where the suspect was shot but he walked to the stretcher under his own power. Bridgeport Police Update: A 47-year-old city man was shot in the right arm and grazed in the forehead during an apparent attempted robbery early today. Officer Mildred Manning responded to the area of Stratford Avenue and Sixth Street shortly after midnight and located the victim sitting on the steps of a house. He stated…
10:47pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters now on scene at 1816 North Avenue for a reported structure fire on the third floor. Firefighters on scene reporting nothing visible from the building. On arrival they discovered there was a small fire in the ceiling that is now out. The are further investigating.
10:35pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters extinguish fire on the second floor at an abandoned home Barnum and Shelton Street.
Post Road near Chef's Table remains closed after a smoky fire filled the 1555 block of shops. Initial radio reports said there was smoke in the rear of Engravers World. Chef's Table did get some smoke in their building but should be one of the first to repopen after an inspection from the health department. There were no reported injuries. UPDATE--Post road has re-0pened, one lane going northbound and two southbound. Use caution in the area.

4:47pm#Fiarfield CT--- Fairfield HazMat Technicians made entry and found a small amount of 65% Nitric Acid on the floor, counter and sink and two open containers. The Entry Team replaced the tops on the containers and wiped up the product using Chemsorb pads, placing all within the hood system, according to HazMat Operations Officer A/C Schuyler Sherwood. The Entry Team left the building at 5:19pm, and Connecticut Tank Removal was called by SHU officials to remove remaining product and absorbent materials from the lab. “Unfortunately we needed to secure the first and second floors of the SC Wing while entry was being made to ensure that the atmosphere was not contaminated,” explained Sherwood.
