6:51pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police are in a foot pursuit/manhunt for 3 teens who were just involved in a hit and run accident at Park and Olive Street. EMS on the way for the driver that was hit.
#Bridgeport CT-- The Police Department, through the medical examiner, has confirmed the identity of homicide victim found Saturday on Palisade Avenue. Her name is Tinese Benson, 28. On 3/22/2014 Patrol Officers Hanson and Bensey responded to 525 Palisades Ave apt#506 on a report of an unresponsive party in the apartment, possibly barricaded inside. Upon arrival they were met by the occupant’s sister who stated she located her brother Alejandro Velez inside the apartment, unresponsive, the door was barricaded by furniture and had to be forced open. Upon checking the apartment she located an unidentified female lying on the bathroom floor, also unresponsive, apparently suffering from multiple stab wounds. The medics were summoned to the scene and the female was pronounced…
12:55pm--#Bridgeport CT--#Fairfield-- A carjacking just occurred at at the Fitness Edge in Fairfield and ended at Seaside Park. Taken at gunpoint was an elderly man's wallet and blue Chrysler Pacifica with CT plates 176 UJH. UPDATE--The vehcile has just been located at Cottage and Norman Street in Bridgeport.
Westport Parks & Recreation Director Stuart McCarthy today reminded citizens that as of April 1 the “no animals at the beaches” regulation will be in effect. It includes Compo, Burying Hill and Old Mill beaches. “Animals will not be permitted on any beach property, which includes all grass, sand, and the parking areas, except Soundview parking lot at Compo Beach, as well as the roads within the beach area,” said McCarthy. “This regulation will be in effect until October 1.” Parking emblems will be required on all vehicles entering town beaches beginning Tuesday, May 1.

11:49pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters were quick to the scene at 279 Jackson Avenue to put out a fire in a second floor bedroom. All occupants of the house quickly evacuated the house. It is not know the reason for the fire at this time, firefighters are investigating.
10:17pm--#Fairfield CT--Firefighters on the way to the 1500 block of Stillson Road for a bonfire that got out of control and now is a brush fire.
10:07pm--#Shelton CT--Firefighters on the way to 292 Howe Avenue for smoke inside the apartment complex.
