DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Woman Abducted from Stratford Motel

9:01am--#Stratford CT--#Bridgeport CT--A woman staying at the Honeyspot Motel  on Honeyspot Road in Stratford was taken against her will by "two very large men" driving a older model white Cadillac.  according to radio reports.  Bridgeport Police were receiving 911 calls that the car was in two different locations off East Main Street.  Each time they responded the car was not located.  The third call was the charm when the located the car in front o f 445 Connecticut Avenue.  No mention of the suspects, the woman was located and EMS was called to evaluate her.  Both Stratford and Bridgeport are working together at the scene.

Police Arrest Two Men for Larceny

#Bridgeport, CT – Nov. 12, 2013 – Two men face larceny and burglary charges after an incident on Gurdon Street. Officer Ian Schumaker responded to the area of 90 Gurdon just before 3 a.m. Sunday after a concerned citizen contacted police about a possible burglary in progress. Police were told a Subaru and a Honda Civic pulled up to the area and that three males appeared to be walking between the Civic and the side of 90 Gurdon Street, which is an abandoned house. When police arrived, Sgt. Rough start to the week.  My son Alex will be taking over the reporting for the next couple of days.  I own a couple of other sites that I will shift my attention to during this time.  Alex is still learning so be gentle on  him with the comments and his reporting.  He's all I can afford!
