1:11pm--#Bridgeport CT--About six shots were fired by a male in a school uniform on George Street, two people were seen running towards Catherine Street. One person in custody matching the description apprehended after a brief pursuit in Greene Homes. First reports of a person down appear to be false.
12:47pm--#Trumbull CT--A student pulled a knife on a teacher at Madison Middle School at 4630 Madison Ave. Police on the way.
11:27am--#Fairfield CT--EMS on the way to the nurses office at Warde High School for an intoxicated student.
10:26am--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters called to North and Madison Ave. in front of the Splash Car Wash for a odor complaint. First thought to be a gas leak but metered by firefighters turn up no reading 10:57am--UPDATE--Fire department sounded recall but police just said DEEP has been called to the scene and this is going to b a long term delay today. Barricades requested to the scene.
10:26am--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters called to North and Madison Ave. in front of the Splash Car Wash for a odor complaint. Turns out a construction crew hit a gas line. More firetrucks on the way along with police and gas company. This will be a mess traffic wise so plan accordingly.
10:15am--#Bridgeport CT--A woman was hit on the head with a knife. No stabbing, just hit over the head with a knife on Sherwood Avenue.......
City’s Downtown Road Improvement Project, which began on April 15, continues this week with the milling of Lafayette Boulevard, John Street and North Frontage Road. Milling on Lafayette Boulevard from North Frontage Road to John Street is currently underway and is expected to last through Tuesday, April 23. Paving of Lafayette Boulevard is expected to begin on Thursday, April 25. Milling of John Street from West Avenue to Water Street is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 25. Paving of John Street is scheduled to begin early next week. Drivers should expect minor delays during this road improvement project.
1:18pm--#Fairfield CT--A student at Fairfield University calls 911, talks briefly then hangs up. As required, the 911 operator calls back. The guy starts yelling at the operator after giving his location then hangs up again. The 911 operator per protocol and the student updates his location, admits he's been drinking and thinks the 911 operator is pranking him. An officer was dispatched to see if he was ok.......
