3:40am–#Bridgeport–Home invasion at 68 Highland Avenue Building 3 on the 7th floor (Greene Homes). 2 black males forced their way into the apartment wearing all black and ski masks.  A gun was displayed and they took a TV and laptop after stabbing the victim in the leg. Police are on scene EMTs on the way. UPDATE– This occurred around 3:15am and a 32″ TV was taken as well as a laptop.

12:45am–#Fairfield #Westport–We have a report of a pursuit on I-95 southbound from Westport exit 18. A white van was wanted for interupted burglary in Fairfield. Stop sticks were deployed but vehicle kept going. The vehicle was lost on kings st towards the parkway in Port Chester NY. UPDATE–Vehicle from pursuit found on Parkway Drive in Portchester with multiple flats. NY reg ERE 6468. Search underway. From Rob Casasanta.

12:27am–#Bridgeport–Report of a man being assaulted by a bat (baseball) on East Main near York Street. EMTs on the way.

5:55pm–#Fairfield–Police on scene after breaking up a fight between kids at Jennings Beach Skate Park. EMTs on the way to evaluate one of the yoots.

Armed Robbery at Adams Bakery -Fairfield

Just before 6pm Sunday evening police received a call from Adams Bakery at 1525 Black Rock Turnpike of an armed robbery.  A gun was displayed.  The gunman was a white male, about 6 feet tall, thin build, blond, in his mid twenties and he wearing a black jacket.  He took an undermentioned amount of cash and fled west on Judd Street in a gray 4 door Infinity.  The gunman is still at large.

SUV Plunges Into NYC’s Bronx Zoo Grounds; 7 Dead

NEW YORK (AP) — An out-of-control SUV barreled across several lanes of traffic on a highway overpass Sunday, then plunged more than 50 feet off the side of the road and landed in a ravine on the grounds of the Bronx Zoo, killing all seven people aboard, including three children, authorities said.    The SUV was headed south on the Bronx River Parkway that cuts through a working-class neighborhood when it bounced off the median, crossed three southbound lanes and hit the curb, causing the vehicle to become airborne, continue over the guardrail and plunge 59 feet, police said.  Read Full Story…….

Wilton condo fire displaces 15, injures two

WILTON — Two firefighters were injured Sunday afternoon while battling a massive fire that tore through the Wilton Crest condominium complex off Wolfpit Road.    Upwards of 60 firefighters from Wilton and neighboring towns were called to the scene at about 11:43 a.m. when the dispatch center received multiple 911 calls reporting a large fire at Wilton Crest condos.  Read Full Story….



Man Shot at Reservoir Ave-Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT — An unidentified man was seriously injured Friday morning after being shot while walking into a Reservoir Avenue Citgo station, police said.

Police said the victim was hospitalized with potentially life-threatening injuries after being shot just after 11 a.m.

Division 9 Design and Construction from Clinton New Jersey who does the work for the show. They have to wait for the designer to come up with the concept then run to Home Depot and get all the items needed for the makeover before they can even begin to work. So the crew is lucky if they get a day and half to do the actual work, usually with very little sleep. the pilot show they said they were awake for over 36 hours straight, they were up mostly because the were excited to be part of the show. Restaurant Impossible intended to use local construction crews for each show. Division 9 Design and Construction, run by Tom Bury, Angelo Russomanno and Chris Balasic worked the pilot show, Food Network used another crew for the second show. Division 9 was called back for the third and the other 40 shows. On They told me ” you know what it is like to hire a contractor for your home, can you imagine doing that show after show?” I doubt there are many crews can work under such tight time constraints.

The reveal was scheduled for 6pm. I was told they rarely make the intended time for many reasons. I showed up at 7:45pm and there were over 100 people lined in the drizzling rain waiting to get in. I’m told you had to have reservations weeks in advance to get seated. It wasn’t until 8:25 that the producers came out with owner Michael Savoie to set up the scene for Chef Irvine to come out and tell the owner that hundreds of their friends have gathered for their grand reopening. The news media that was in attendance as well as anyone gathered were told not to take any video or photos. The audience needed to be quiet from this point including the reveal to the owner inside the restaurant, the audience was very cooperative. By 9pm they started filing see the changes and to try out the new menu.

Bridgeport PD Nabs Work Van Thief

Bridgeport–Early afternoon Monday a report of work panel style van was stolen near Main Street and Madison Avenue. There was a rash of work vans being stolen in town and police had already done their homework on this case. Just before 4pm the stolen van was located near Main Street and Capitol Avenue and a brief pursuit took place. The driver attempted to hit oncoming police cars. The pursuit came to a end at the end of French Street and a foot pursuit took place, the suspect ran through backyards on French Street and Parrot Ave where he was captured. One officer received a shoulder injury and was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for treatment.

2 Men Shot In Greene Homes

BRIDGEPORT — Two men were shot Tuesday morning near the Greene Homes on Washington Avenue, and one left a trail of blood along the sidewalk between Buildings 4 and 5. Det. Keith Bryant said at 11 a.m. that police are not certain whether the men had fired at each other, or whether they are unrelated incidents. Read full story……

1:09pm–#Bridgeport–2 caught in the act of cutting copper out of Wells Street home by police after a brief foot pursuit on North Avenue and Porter Street. 2 in custody.

12:10pm–#Bridgeport–False alarm gives Central High School a fire drill this afternoon.
