Update from FFD PD:At about 11:30 a.m. today, Fairfield Police responded to an isolated incident on Putting Green Road involving a stabbing. Patrol officers arrived within minutes, detained the individual responsible, and immediately rendered aid to the injured person. The victim is currently in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The two males involved were known to each other, lived together, and this was an isolated incident. While there was no threat to the public, North Stratfield School was briefly placed in secure status as a precaution until officers confirmed that the individual responsible was in custody. Darren Palumbo, age 56, of Fairfield will be charged in connection with this incident. The investigation remains ongoing and is being handled by Fairfield…

Bridgeport Police are investigating a shooting on Birdseye Street. Unconfirmed radio reports say the victim was shot in the leg.
Firefighters were called to the scene of the 300 block of Charles Street in Bridgeport. On arrival they encountered a van on fire and quickly went to putting it out, preventing another nearby car from also catching. The fire is now out at this time.
Bridgeport police and fire responded to the intersection of Barnum and Central avenues at approximately 7:24 p.m. for a reported MVA involving a motorbike. The motorbike rider sustained serious injuries and is being transported to Bridgeport Hospital.
Report of shots fired on East Ave by Clermont Ave in Bridgeport. Police arrived on scene and found shell casings but there is no report of any injuries at this time.
Bridgeport firefighters responded to the 80 block of Pequonnock Street around 1:48 a.m. for a fire in a vacant multi-family house. No injuries were reported, and the Bridgeport Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
Bridgeport police responded to the 200 block of St. Stephens Road at approximately 5:57 p.m. after a ShotSpotter activation reported eight rounds fired. Police said one person self-transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound. The victim’s condition is unknown at this time. The Bridgeport Police Department is investigating.
