Today's Car Fire was in the parking lot of Aldi in Fairfield, 290 Tunxis Hill Road. Firefighters arrived to a fully involved fire and quickly got to work putting it out. There is no report of any injuries at this time.

Man Fatally Shot at P.T. Barnum Housing Complex
Bridgeport Police are investigating the fatal shooting of 46-year-old Johnny L. Nesmith, who was found outside Building 21 at the P.T. Barnum housing complex shortly after 1:00 a.m. Sunday. Police said Nesmith was struck multiple times and later pronounced dead at Bridgeport Hospital, marking the city’s sixth homicide of the year. The shooting happened hours after a P.T. Barnum residents reunion was held across the street, and police said a crowd was nearby when the gunfire occurred. Detectives are urging witnesses to come forward and contact Detective Laura Azevedo-Rasuk at (203) 581-5235.
