#Bridgeport, CT– The Police Department will host seven open houses starting Saturday, February 14, 2015, at City Hall, 45 Lyon Terrace, for people interested in becoming Bridgeport Officers. “We have two goals. Bridgeport Snow Emergency

#Bridgeport, Conn. (February 14, 2015) – Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch declared a snow emergency, which started at midnight. During the snow emergency, there will be no parking on any of the designated Snow Emergency Streets, which are clearly marked, and all vehicles on other streets across the city are to park on the “even-side” of the street starting at midnight. Bridgeport News: Man Shot In Home

UPDATE:  Bridgeport Police Press Release: Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday night on Saunders Avenue. The victim has been identified as William Ocasio Jr., 25, of Bridgeport. Police responded to a report of a shooting at 7:40 p.m. at 306 Saunders Ave. The victim and witnesses reported that Ocasio answered a ring at the doorbell and was confronted by two hooded and masked males, one of whom had a firearm. As the victim and a witness pushed the door closed, shots were fired, and Ocasio was struck in the side and arm.
