Bridgeport Police Arrest Two in Home Invasion Robbery

Police press release from the story we told you first...as it was happening> #Bridgeport, Conn. Dec. 1, 2014 – Two city men face charges after a home invasion they committed near their house. Officer Jarah Mathews-Dixon and other officers responded to 287 Davenport Ave. Sunday morning at about 1:45 a.m.and encountered the victims outside, yelling and pointing in the direction the suspects had fled. Police checked the area and Mathews-Dixon observed a male jump a fence onto Alex Street. Bridgeport Police Arrest Spurned Male for Stabbing

#Bridgeport, CT -- Nov. 30, 2014 -- Police arrested a 41-year-old man who last night stabbed a woman a day after she ended a relationship with him. Police found Jose Velez still inside 50 Pearl Harbor Circle, the apartment in which the attack occurred, and arrested him. Police also found the victim, Francis Santos, 39, who suffered stab wounds to her neck and back. Santos, who is pregnant, was taken to Bridgeport Hospital where she was in serious condition. According to Capt. Armando Perez, Santos was home with her 8-year-old son when she heard someone breaking into the home. She fled but Velez attacked her, stabbing her at least twice.
