Bridgeport News: Police Crash Responding To A Call

10:22pm--#Bridgeport CT--A man dusted on PCP on Federal Street was a serious danger to neighbors and police as an officer on scene called a 10-32 a ten code I rarely hear I had to look it up to find it was "Officer Needs Assistance". A number of nearby police cars using code, that is lights and sirens responded. A few moments later a call came for 2 ambulances as an officer responding had collided with a silver SUV on upper Main Street near Renzy Avenue. At first radio reports state the the occupants in the silver SUV were unresponsive but did become conscious as EMS arrived. 2:ish--#Bridgeport CT--A car traveling at a high rate of speed on Helen Street, cut across two lanes of traffic while leaving his fender and other car body parts on the green, then crossed two more lane remarkably not hitting any other cars. He then hit Lakeview Cemetery's fence, went airborne sailing over the first rows of tombstones, hitting the second row of tombstones, before hitting the payment of the drive taking up a couple inches of pavement. The car continued for another fifty feet before hitting more tombstones and coming to a stop. We are told the driver appeared to be under the influence of something other than alcohol. Bridgeport Detectives Seek Identity of Burglar

(Bridgeport, CT – Oct. 21, 2014) – Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who burglarized City Sound Electronics last week. Police responded to a burglary at the location at 1094 Main St. at about 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 16. Detectives secured a photo of the suspect from security footage inside the store. Detectives also are investigating whether the same suspect is responsible for several other recent commercial burglaries in the immediate area. The suspect is believed to be a white or Hispanic male and possibly in his late 30s or 40s. In the City Sound burglary, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black sneakers. I felt like I was sent back in time when I visited the Famous Fifties Diner at 472 Huntington Turnpike in Bridgeport. I met with Kathryn Sanchez who opened the diner in April with her husband. The first thing you notice is the Coca Cola red and white color theme and all the 50's memorabilia on the walls. I wanted to point out that there was something wrong with the flat screen above the counter seating but then it dawned on me they intentionally wanted it to display in black and white! 11:00pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police were dispatched to the White Eagle Club at 595 East Washington Avenue for an older man who inappropriately touched a 5 year old. He is currently being held by security. EMS was dispatched to the club for an assault, no word if it was for the victim or the suspect.
