Stratford News: Fire Damages Multiple Businesses

VIDEO REPORT--8:53pm--#ctfire--#Stratfird CT--Fire ripped through the Stonybrook Co-op of businesses tonight.  Initial reports say the fire started in the roof area of Jalapeno's Restaurant and spread to The Village Pub. Village Pub co-owner Debbie Redman told us they were getting ready for their Halloween party when the smelled "something".  Thinking it could be one of their Halloween decorations they put them out but discovered it was the fire.  Everyone left the building and they called 911.  Firefighters were quick to the scene and began their attack on the fire.  The bulk of the fire was in the back of the building.  Bridgeport Fire gave mutual aid to Stratford.  The entire plaza suffered from heavy smoke damage.  It was difficult to…
