The Shipyard located at 837 Seaview Avenue will accept all Charles Street and Frenchtown Road Fire Victim families to collect clothing and furnishings through Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 10am to 1pm. After the needs of the victims and their families are met, City of Bridgeport Mayor’s office will hold a Citywide Community Outreach distribution of remaining items on Saturday, January 16, 2015 from 10am to 1pm at the Shipyard. 10:27pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police were called for a large group of teens on Benham Avenue. A short time later an officer called for ambulance for a person stabbed around the corner in front of 138 Olive Street. A total of 3 ambulances were dispatched to the scene. Another person was reported unconscious.
The City of Bridgeport will begin collecting Christmas trees on Monday, January 11, 2016 and continues through Monday, January 18, 2013. All trees must be placed at curbside and free of all ornaments and plastic bags. Trees that are in plastic bags or have ornaments on them will not be collected. Trees may also be brought to the City of Bridgeport’s Transfer Station located at 475 Asylum Street, but must be free of all ornaments and plastic bags before disposal. 8:34pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A man stopped at the corner store at Madison and McKinley Avenue and left the car running with his grandmother inside. When he returned to the car it was missing along with grandma who does not know how to drive. Police are looking for a black 2007 Mazda 6. 10:13pm--#Bridgeport CT-- The Yum Yum delivery driver was just robbed and his 2007 silver Honda Odyssey was taken at gunpoint on a delivery in the 400 block of Nichols Street. This is a block away from Bass Pro Shops and have been frequent robberies of delivery drivers in the last couple of weeks. This report is made possible by:
