Back to School Expo in Bridgeport Thursday from 10-2 at the Nehemiah Commission, 1600 State Street, Bridgeport. There will be people/organizations from the community here. Food and entertainment- parents and guardians can get a free backpack for their child with proof of child- report card. Bridgeport News: Total Victims Shot Is Now At 4

1:37am--#Bridgeport CT-- A driver has just flagged police down at Water Street, driving a victim to the hospital who was shot in the hand near Greene Homes. Then at 1:42am--Bridgeport Hospital called that they have two more shooting victims. There was a previous shooting at the Greenes at 10:44pm Tuesday night. All victims have been transported by private vehicles. 2:04am--I'm just learning the two other victims at Bridgeport Hospital may have been shot in the Mill Hill area off Boston Avenue. UPDATE: Bridgeport Police Press release: (Bridgeport, CT – Aug. 13, 2014) – Detectives are investigating two shootings that occurred Tuesdaynight and early today in which two people were wounded. 10:44pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police received a call for shots fired on Madison Avenue near Greene Homes. A short time later the victim shows up at St. Vincent's Hospital with a gunshot wound, driven in by a private vehicle. Bridgeport Police Charge Man in Hit-and-Run Fatality

#Bridgeport, CT – Aug. 11, 2014 – Police have charged a city man in connection with a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred Saturday. Police charged Dennis Berrios, 36, on Sunday with evading responsibility. The incident remains under investigation and additional charges are possible. The victim has been identified as Tyron Tate, 21. The incident happened at 10 p.m. in the 600 block of Noble Avenue. Witnesses at the scene reported that the 21-year-old victim was walking with several other people when he was struck in the roadway. He later was pronounced dead at the hospital. 10:37am--#Bridgeport CT-- Shots fired in the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. 6 males were shooting and one got hit in the groin area . A small tan 4 door car fled the scene. Three are in custody, at least one fled into a home at 144 Pennsylvania Avenue. From Bridgeport Police: Detectives are investigating an apparent shooting that occurred this morning on Pennsylvania Avenue. The incident happened at 10:30 a.m. The victim, 28, suffered an injury to his groin, and he stated that he had been shot. Bridgeport News: Police Investigating 6th Homicide

12:56pm--Bridgeport CT--Police Press Release: Detectives are investigating a homicide that happened this afternoon on Park Avenue. The victim has been identified as Ryan Hernandez, 21, of Bridgeport. He was shot at least once in the chest and taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. The incident happened in the 1300 block of Park Avenue near Olive Street. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and are securing any security video from the area that will could identify the vehicle or suspects. The car in which the suspects fled was described as a dark-colored sedan. Witnesses reported observing an altercation between the suspect and the victim prior to the gunfire.
