Bridgeport, Conn. (Nov. 12, 2015) – Today, the Bridgeport Police Department announced the arrest of a man for stealing several bags of shrimp from Food Bazaar (500 Sylvan Ave.). On Monday, police officers were dispatched to Food Bazaar following a shoplifting complaint. Upon arrival on scene, police officers located an individual sitting on the floor next to the store manager. The man on the floor – Carlos Muniz (DOB: 6/25/1978) – was identified as the shoplifter, and the police officer handcuffed and detained him. Police officers also determined that there was an active warrant for Muniz.
