Officer Mark Martocchio attempted to pull over a vehicle on North Avenue but the driver sped off. He lost sight of the car but witnesses, as the officer passed, indicated that the motorist had entered Route 8/25 southbound. Martocchio followed at a distance and called in locations to dispatchers.
