#Bridgeport, CT – Nov. 4, 2014 – Bridgeport Police Press Release: A city man faces carjacking charges after an incident this weekend in he struck a police vehicle while trying to flee in a stolen Nissan pick-up truck. Officers Michael Cavaliere, Manuel Santos and John Pachera were on patrol Saturday in the West Side when a license plate reader attached to their vehicle “hit” on a 2007 Nissan  Frontier that had been taken a day earlier in an armed carjacking. The vehicle was parked and unoccupied on Charles Street. Police parked their vehicle and kept an eye on the stolen pick-up in case anyone returned to it.
