Fairfield News: Firefighters Put Out Car Fire
#Fairfield CT--Around 2:30am Friday morning police on patrol discovered a car on fire at Star Towing and Service Station at the corner of Black Rock Turnpike and Jennings Road. Its not known what caused the fire which is under investigation but firefighters had no problem extinguishing the fire. This was the third car fire in the surround towns.
Fairfield News: Threatening With A Gun At The Diner
1:29am--#Fairfield CT #Bridgeport CT--Police from both towns are investigating a threatening at Andro's Diner on Villa Avenue. The victim was threatened with a .44 Magnum at or outside the diner. The victim fled to their home off Park Avenue to report the crime to Bridgeport Police. Police were looking for a black Nissan which Bridgeport Police located just before 2:00am and a suspect has been apprehended. A gun was located in the backseat of the car.

Teen Services Thrives at the Fairfield Public Library
[Fairfield, CT, April 15, 2014] Five years since its establishment, the downUNDER Teen Center at the Fairfield Woods Branch library is still attracting droves of tweens and teens each day. The downUNDER was created to address the needs of the teens that flock to the library after school and was purposefully planned to be a safe, stimulating, comfortable environment that gives attendees the chance to try new things, explore their interests and make connections with their peers and the community at large. Since the downUNDER opened in 2008, it has seen over 22,000 teen visits from both the Fairfield Woods Middle School, which is adjacent to the library, and the surrounding neighborhood, often filling its 30 person capacity. It still may be the best kept secret in…
